I don’t know about your kids, but I often find my kids with their heads in their devices. Don’t get me wrong. They are older and generally get their school work done before pulling out the iPod or iPad, but the devices are in use for quite some time. I think meal times are our biggest problem spot as there are several devices out at the table. Do you have any problems with over use of devices in your home? OurPact is here to help.
OurPact touts itself as the best parental control app. Since I haven’t tried a parental control app before, I have nothing to compare OurPact to; however, I do plan on giving OurPact a whirl to see if it can get our devices under control.
OurPact parental control allows the parent to control multiple kids’ devices from one simple app. Look at all the things you can control:
- Block your kids’ access to internet on all synced devices
- Block your kids’ apps across all synced devices
- Schedule internet and app usage that works with your guidelines and schedule
- Enforce family time, meal time, school work, and bedtime by using parental control
- Create custom schedules for internet and app usage
- Block internet and apps with one touch
- Block all 3rd party apps, including social media
Looks like it is easy to use and would be very useful in teaching responsible use of devices. OurPact even has a family “contract” that you can download and sign as a family with the goal of learning responsible usage of devices. You can find the contract here. This sounds just like what we need for our family! What about you and your family?
Due to current iOS limitations, users may encounter an issue with using any setting that hides apps. When apps come back from hiding they will be restored onto your home screen in alphabetical order and outside of any folders that they may have previously been in. OurPact is a free download and is available for iOS and Android. I’m off to get my kids on track with their device usage. What about you?
