Family Travel Tips

If you’ve read my blog for long, you know we love to travel.  Not only do we love to travel, but we also love using different means of technology to enhance our travel.  There are so many ways that technology can be used to make trips better.  Best Buy has some fun family travel tips that I would love to share with you!  One of my favorite tips on their page is the photo scavenger hunt.

A photo scavenger hunt would be a great way to document school (homeschool or public school) field trips.  What a great way to remember things we have seen or have learned on a trip!

Lion and the Lamb at Sight and Sound Theater

Songbird received an iPhone for her recent birthday, and she put it to great use during our latest vacation/field trip!  It was nice to see her documenting everything she saw.

Amish Wagon at The Amish Village

It’s not every day that she is going to see an Amish wagon or even be able to learn the purpose of each wagon type.  She was able to photograph each of the different wagons and what each is used for.  Now, when we see a wagon on the road, she will be able to remember which wagon she is looking at.

Goat at Hershey Farm Restaurant and Inn

While we don’t live in a city, we also don’t live on a farm.  Both kids enjoyed interacting with the different farm animals we came in contact with during this recent trip.

Tea at Turkey Hill Experience

This is where the scavenger hunt would come in.  What unique things can you find during your next trip?    A giant “bottle” of tea?

Milking a Cow at Turkey Hill Experience

Getting a chance trying to milk a “cow”?  These are great options to add to a scavenger hunt!

We are going on a Florida vacation in the near future, and I will be making up a photo scavenger hunt for the kids to complete before we head home.  The things I will add to the list will be educational, fun, and unique.

What things would you put on your next vacation photo scavenger hunt?

I love the idea of a photo scavenger hunt! I’d love to have my kids do this the next time we travel.

Since I don’t take photos myself I would be hard pressed to make any kids take them! Of course I don’t have any children. This does sound like a fun idea–I think I would have them take photos of the different trees and flowers or perhaps birds.

How fun! Last year we went to Key West and we took a ton of pictures. I loved putting them all together for a great forever memory book. I made a fun facebook cover with them too. Glad to see everyone had a good time!
