First of all, the author I quoted above is not one that I would normally quote; however, what he had to say is definitely fitting at this time, isn’t it?
I am not a very outwardly political person. No bumper stickers here. However, I do have very definite beliefs that I normally keep to myself because I don’t feel that I should force my beliefs on others. BUT the “political season” always brings about more debate, both around home and on social media. Sometimes, things get heated online, and people get their feelings hurt. It should never come to that, though.
But, polite debate can be and IS good. It is how people learn about the differences in politicians and the platforms they stand on. It is how we begin to form our opinions. Our opinions should never be made just because someone “forced” their beliefs on us, though. We should build our opinions on facts.. On things we learn from the Constitution, from our history, and from the candidates, themselves. Sometimes, though, someone may say something that makes us think. Makes us look for more facts.
Why did I post the quote above? Because liberty is a VERY important part of our lives. Liberty allows us the rights to do what we do from day-to-day. The right to go to work, to homeschool our children, to travel where we want to, to worship as we please. Liberty is the foundation this country is built on. Freedom. Rights.
What liberty or right is the most important to you? *Please remember this is a family-friendly blog, and the moderation of comments is enabled. I am just looking for the most important “right” (i.e. Freedom of Religion), in your opinion and not an argumentative response.
