I don’t know about you, but I am ALWAYS behind the camera. It doesn’t matter if it is a short trip to the park or a long vacation to Walt Disney World. Because of this, approximately 97% of my photos do not have me in them. I know I was there, but when my kids grow up, they won’t be able to show their kids that I was there.
For this reason, I am so thankful for Disney’s Photopass! Disney Photopass is a service in which photographers are stationed at various locations around the parks, and these photographers will take a picture of your whole family together. You are given a card that you keep with you, and each photo taken by the Photopass photographers around the parks are added to this card. When you get home, you enter the card’s number in the Photopass website to see the photos. Then, you can order prints, CDs, and other personalized items for a charge.
There is a way to lower the cost of buying your Photopass CD ($169.95 after vacation; $119.95 if ordered prior) by purchasing it in advance before leaving on your vacation.
Now, Disney has the Photopass+ that includes
- A voucher to exchange for the Photopass+ card at Walt Disney World
- Disney’s Gallery Photo CD with over 400 stock photos
- A code to make your Disney PhotoCD (the same one listed above)
- Print photo packages at select Dining locations (normally $29.99 each)
- Digital photos from select Attractions (normally $14.95 each)
That’s a LOT included with the Photopass+, isn’t it? Well, that one is $199.95 when purchased at the park or $169.95 if ordered 14+ day in advance of your trip.
I have already ordered mine, and I can’t wait to see all the full family photos that we get during our next trip! I’ve been thinking about what type of photos I’d like to see most… I think I am most looking forward to that family photo in front of Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom. What photo are you most looking forward to on your next trip?
