Epcot opened on October 1, 1982, so today is Epcot’s 30th anniversary.  Happy 30th Anniversary, Epcot!

I find the above quote from Walt Disney so appropriate for Epcot, as well as, for our homeschool philosophy.  It is appropriate for Epcot because there are so many interesting things to do there, from soaring over California to going undersea with Nemo and his live fish (and mammal) friends.  Then, we can travel around the world in just over a mile.

But how does it apply to our homeschool?  Both DS9 and DD13 are very curious by nature, and they are always looking for something interesting that will challenge their minds.  To stimulate their minds…  We want to keep their minds working to strive for more, always on a quest to learn.  Whether it is during school time or free time, we want to keep learning in one way or another.

So, let’s keep the curiousity level of our children up, so they will be seeking interesting things for their learning journey.

I love Epcot! 30 years… wow..it seems like the park just opened. Epcot is on my buket list now that my heart issues are getting worse. Do they offer discounts? I am a native. Could I include transportation? Easy to get around as a handicapped person?
A good post. I agree that Mr. Disney’s quote applies to education and life long learning.
