Today’s theme for International Homeschool Spirit Week is Mismatch Day! Yes, we can go around in mismatched ears or other mismatched clothing, but there can be a deeper meaning to this.
We homeschoolers come from all different walks of life. We have different experiences. We homeschool differently. Some are eclectic, some are Charlotte Mason, some are traditional. But we should ALL fit together well just like the Mickey Mouse ears above.
Even though we are different, we should all stick together because we all have a common goal of teaching our children in the way we see fit. For whatever reason we bagan homeschooling, we still have that common goal, and we should work together to keep the ability to homeschool and to be supportive to each other. Let’s NOT be like the school that elected the girl Homecoming Queen as a prank because she was different. Let’s be inclusive and embrace our differences!
What’s the theme for tomorrow? Why not check it out on CurrClick.com!

What a great idea, Naomi! Perfect message, too. I have discovered so many wonderful new friends over the last year of homeschooling and we’re all a little different.
