Big IQ Kids – A Review

September 9, 2011 by Naomi M. 2 Comments

For quite some time now, both kids have struggled through writing and drills. They both have weakness in their fingers that causes writing to be difficult.  DS8 also has shaking in his hands that causes him much frustration.  He is my perfectionist, and he gets upset when he doesn't do it "just right".  When the opportunity to review BigIQkids.com arose, I happily put my name … [Read more...] about Big IQ Kids – A Review

ABCs of Homeschooling – “V” is for…

September 6, 2011 by Naomi M. 6 Comments

Today, we are on the letter "V" of homeschooling, and I know the perfect word (Dawn already used it...).  However, I'm going to give the word, vacation, a little different spin. I've mentioned the kids' physical ailments and DS8's sensory issues before, but another side affect (or piece of the puzzle) is an intolerance of heat.  DD12 handles it ok, but any heat sends DS8 into … [Read more...] about ABCs of Homeschooling – “V” is for…

Pig Pile ~ The Hog Wild Card Game

August 31, 2011 by Naomi M. 2 Comments

I'm so excited to write my first review for the TOS Crew!  For my first review, I had the opportunity to review the game, Pig Pile. August 30, 2011 by Naomi M. 8 Comments

We are almost through the entire alphabet with Dawn over at 5 Kids and a Dog.  This week is the letter "U". In our unique schooling situation, we understand that schedules may not be set in stone. We understand that the school location may not always be the same.  We understand that things may not always get done the way the teacher (mom) wants it to get done.  We understand … [Read more...] about ABCs of Homeschooling – “U” is for…

ABCs of Homeschooling – “T” is for…

August 23, 2011 by Naomi M. 4 Comments

We are back with Dawn over at 5 Kids and a Dog, and this week's letter is "T". From a very early age, both kids had a fascination with trains.  Of course, DS8 was more into trains than his sister was. Their first train was Thomas, and it snowballed from there.  After the kids rode behind Thomas, they wanted to see or ride any train that was near any of our travels. DD11 even … [Read more...] about ABCs of Homeschooling – “T” is for…
