This is a sponsored post in conjunction with National Park and Recreation Month. While I was paid to write this post, I only post about subjects that I believe in.
July is national Park and Recreation Month! What a great opportunity to visit your local park and have a great time as a family! We enjoy going to the park to play and walk together.
As part of the Park and Recreation Month, the National Recreation and Park Association is encouraging everyone to get out to your local park. To take your kids and enjoy the time together getting physical activity and enjoying nature. This weekend is supposed to be a lot nicer than last weekend, so why not spend some time at your local park building memories together?
We loved our park in Oklahoma. There was always wildlife to look at. In the Spring, we loved to watched the baby ducks and the geese. They were so cute! The park also had a small “zoo” that had deer, llamas, and peacocks. We had fun watching while the employees fed them. The llamas would follow them around from feed trough to feed trough.
This particular park had a lake in the middle with a paved walking path all the way around it. I don’t remember how far it was, but we would go just to walk. There were also some bench swings and a playground for the kids to play on. The kids would leave the car and run to get to the swings as fast as they could and would swing for a long period of time before consenting to that walk.
Do you have a favorite park that you like to go to?
Disclosure: I was paid to write this post; however, I only post about things I believe in. Spending family time together outdoors is something I feel very strongly about.
