It is a well-known fact that I like GIANTmicrobes. Some may find it morbid, but after working for several years looking at some of these bugs growing on agar in plates, GIANTmicrobes is a fun alternative. It’s also a great way to talk to the kids about things that might otherwise be a little more difficult to understand. My son has a brain cell. Well, he has a LOT of brain cells in his actual brain, but he won a plush brain cell a year ago when we were first introduced to GIANTmicrobes.
