International Homeschool Spirit Week – Comfy Cozy Day

Today’s theme is “Comfy Cozy Day”.  As a homeschooler, this means more than one thing.

First of all, it means that we can dress as comfortably as we choose.  If we wake up and it’s raining, we can declare a jammie day and school in our “Comfy Cozy” PJs.  We can sit with lap desks on the couch to do some subjects.  We can go outside on the patio to school when the weather is nice.  We can even take school to the park.

Also, “Comfy Cozy” can mean the feeling that one gets knowing that he is in a safe environment.  We don’t have to worry about bullying or taunting on a daily basis.  If we run into that type of behavior (and we have), we can just leave.  We don’t have to put up with it.  Bullying and taunting is still alive in some homeschool groups, but we, as homeschoolers, can choose to not put up with it.  That choice is not always available in other forms of education.

So, whether you tie “Comfy Cozy” to wearing PJs while sitting on the couch doing math or the safety that homeschool provides, both are a wonderful part of homeschooling!

What “Comfy Cozy” thing are you going to do today?  Do you know what the theme for tomorrow is?

What’s up all, here every one is sharing such familiarity, so it’s good to
read this weblog, and I used to pay a quick visit this website everyday.
