Camping
We used to love to go camping!  Unfortunately, we haven’t had much opportunity to go camping over the last few years.  We were hoping to go camping over Memorial Day weekend coming up, but we found that our sleeping bags need to be cleaned and haven’t had time to do that, yet.  (Who knew it would be hard to find a laundromat nearby?)

The great thing about camping is getting “away from it all”!  You can leave your electronics at home and spend time with each other.  I know that many teenagers might not like that concept, but I think my kids would enjoy it.  Would your kids?

How about spending your summer vacation in the north woods of Ontario?  Spend time fishing on tranquil lakes or build sandcastles on the 2.5 miles of Lake Erie beachfront.  At a Carefree RV resort, you can make special family memories.  Don’t have a RV?  Carefree RV resorts has a wide variety of rentals that include rustic cabins and vacation cottages.

Here is some information on a couple of the Carefree RV resort properties:

On the beautiful sandy shores of Lake Erie, Sherkston Shores resort offers 560 acres of beautiful landscape, topped off with two and a half miles of sandy beachfront. Keep yourself busy with pools, waterslides, splash pad and a quarry stocked with fish. Just 90 minutes away from the Greater Toronto Area and mere minutes away from the US border, Sherkston Shores is a fabulous vacation alternative that offers so much more. RV sites, rustic cabins and a range of vacation cottages are available for rent.

Located just 20 miles of both Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan — Willowood is a top destination for both U.S. and Canadian families. We have 329 RV sites with fire rings as well as cabin and park model rentals available.

Willowood family-friendly grounds feature a playground, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, an outdoor movie theater and miniature golf course. Our guests keep cool relaxing and swimming in our large pool, our kiddie pool and our splash pad area. There’s even an arcade room to entertain the kids on rainy days. We also pride ourselves on providing a whirlwind social calendar that includes story time, chocolate bar bingo, crafts, potlucks, dances and movies. And don’t forget to take a hay ride with our Carefree characters – Benny Beaver and Suzie Squirrel

Doesn’t that sound like fun?  I have never stayed at a Carefree RV resort, but I want to check into that Sherkston Shores location.  Sounds like a great place for our next vacation!

Are you considering an Ontario family vacation?  Carefree RV resort has a limited time discount for you! It makes for an affordable Ontario camping trip!
