Jackery sent me a Jackery Giant to try and share my experience with you.

Jackery Giant

As I was planning for the iRetreat conference in Hershey this summer, I knew that the battery in my iPhone would not withstand an all-day conference.  Heck, it wouldn’t even handle a 1/2 day.  The battery just doesn’t hold the charge for very long, anymore, so I wasn’t sure what I was going to do.  I didn’t want to be without a way to take photos or be on social media.  That wouldn’t be very good for a blogger, now, would it?  Enter the Jackery Giant!

Jackery Giant Specs

As you can see in the picture, the Jackery Giant has a LOT of juice!  Because of its capacity, it does take up to 10 hours to charge from empty, but it provides so much that the wait is worth it!  Before going to the iRetreat conference, I charged my Jackery Giant up and packed it in my bag.  Over the next 2-3 days, I kept my own iPhone charged up and even passed it over to a fellow blogger to charge hers.  I didn’t charge the charger the entire time I was there!  It was wonderful having the knowledge that my phone wouldn’t die!

Jackery Giant in Box

This is how the Jackery Giant comes packaged.  It comes with its own charging cord, but you have to plug it into your own charging adapter, like the one that comes with an iPhone or iPad.  I personally have an adapter that is a part of my outlet, so it is easy to just plug it in there.

Jackery Giant Charging Ports

This external charger even comes equipped with its own 2-LED flashlight that according to the website has up to 700 hours of illumination.  This would be a great item to have in the case of a power outage of any kind but especially storm related, so you can keep your phone charged and your path lit.

Jackery Charging 2 Devices

Yes, you can even charge two devices at once.  Need a full charge on a camping trip?  Heading on a plane trip?  Heading on the road?  This external charger will have you covered in case of emergency or even just a need for an extra charge.

I was so impressed with this external charger that I purchased a smaller one to have with me in my purse.  The Jackery Giant is a little big and heavy for my purse but would work well in a computer bag or backpack.

Other things that I noticed about this charger:  It didn’t get hot like other chargers I have used.  Also, it seemed to work well with my Apple devices.  I was given a small charger by another company at the iRetreat conference, and my iPhone kept saying that the device was not supported.  However, I have never gotten that message on my iPhone with my Jackery charger.

The Jackery Giant is normally $69.95 but is currently on sale for $39.95

Disclosure:  I received the above item free of charge for the purpose of this review.  I received no other compensation, nor was I required to give a positive review.  All opinions are mine.

I love this! I am frequently needing to charge more than one thing because the battery seems to get low on everything at once…

Wow talk about a lot of bang for your buck. What a great deal. I love that it can charge two things at the same time and can also be used as a flashlight if needed.

I love that this can charge both an iPad and iPhone at the same time. Most chargers would die after charging just one.

I love that it provides so much juice! My devices are always dying. I need something that is heavy duty and can really last. This is great!

I love both the capacity of 10,400 mAh and that it can charge 2 devices-perfect for the inevitable winter power outages in Maine.
