I grew up watching Charlie Brown and Snoopy.  Before the advent of video, DVD, and streaming, I remember waiting, sometimes impatiently, for the next holiday special Peanuts episode to come on the TV.  Nowadays, Marvel Boy can watch the Christmas episode, for instance, as many times as he wants.  However, back when I was a kid, we had to schedule for that one time during the season when the show would be on TV.  Do you remember that?

When I heard The Peanuts Movie was going to be made, I have to admit that I wasn’t sure it could live up to the original specials.  As I sit here typing this post with The Peanuts Movie playing in the background, I can honestly say that I am very pleasantly surprised.  The movie is great!  And I’m not just saying that because I was sent a free copy to review…  The kids watched the movie last night while I was working, and my son eagerly wanted to watch it again this morning.

    I always watch Its a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. It always reminds me that you don’t always get what you want, but, keep trying.

    My absolute favorite Peanuts holiday special is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I love the scene with Linus at the play. It is my all-time favorite scene.
