Lavender and Chamomile Bath Soak

Lavender and Chamomile Soak

In my opinion, natural is always the way to go when concocting DIY beauty and bath products.  Natural products are so good for your skin, and, most importantly, they are usually safe with no harmful side effects from artificial ingredients.  One of my favorite things to make is a good bath soak.  I change up ingredients to suit my mood and needs.  After all, who doesn’t love a good relaxing and fragrant soak in the tub?  Don’t forget some candles and your favorite beverage.  This Lavender and Chamomile Bath Soak is easily made from items on hand in your pantry or medicine cabinet.  Handmade bath soaks make fantastic gifts as well.

Bath Soak Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup epsom salts
  • ⅓  cup baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. Coconut oil
  • 2 chamomile tea bags
  • 6-8 drops lavender essential oil

Bath Soak Mixing

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a wooden spoon to combine.
  • Transfer mixture to a container with a tight fitting lid.  I like to pick up pretty jars at the craft store and add a piece of ribbon or twine.  Then, it works two fold as a relaxing bath and pretty bathroom decor.
  • Pour contents into a warm bath and soak as long as you like.

Bath Soak Finished

Make 3 or 4 batches at a time, attach a scoop to your jar, and put as much or as little in your bath as you like.
