Thank you to Home Educating Family for sending me A Well Planned Day High School planner!

A Well Planned Day - High School
I can finally say it, “I have a high schooler!”  Now, what do I do with a high schooler?  We’ve navigated K-8, but high school is a whole other animal!  We’ve picked out our courses for the year, but will they fit into our goals in order to finish high school with the necessary credits?  The High School 4 Year Plan is part of the series of planners known as the Well Planned Day Planner and is available from HEDUA (Home Educating Family Association).  You can find their entire list of planners here.

A Well Planned Day - High School Requirements

First of all, please click on the photos in this post.  I left them fairly large, so you can see more of the detail better.  I have used various Well Planned Day Planners over the years:  the Well Planned Day planner for tracking both kids assignments in one place, On the Go Planner for keeping my personal/financial life straight, and this year, I added their new My Blog Plan to my collection.  Their planners are pretty to look at and have great helps/advice within.

One of the things that stood out to me first about the High School 4 Year Plan is that they break down the necessary credits needed for graduation.  Note: Requirements will likely vary from state-to-state; however, this is a good overview and starting point.  It looks like we have a great start toward graduation goals with what we’ve chosen for this year!

A Well Planned Day - Freshman Year

Another great thing about this planner is that there are suggestions for each year.  Of course, the whole thing about the SAT is going to change as the test is changing in 2016.  I don’t know about you, but I’m a little nervous about how these changes will affect homeschoolers.

A Well Planned Day - Month and Week View

I have always loved the layout of the Well Planned Day Planners with the month-view and the ample space to fill out each day in the weekly view.  Believe me, I’ve tried a lot of different planners, but I always come back to Well Planned Day.

A Well Planned Day - Semester Credit Summary

The High School 4 Year Plan has a nice form to fill out for each semester with spaces to give credit for each subject and keep track of hours spent.  Hours and days seem to be a BIG thing in Pennsylvania…

A Well Planned Day - Journey Summary

In a way, this will also serve as a 4 year high school year book because there is a page for each semester for my daughter to document her experiences, thoughts, and memories during this time.  When she is finished with high school, this will be a great way to not only document her schooling but to document her life during this time!

If you are looking for a physical planner to either keep track of your child’s schooling in the lower grades or document your child’s high school years, I encourage you to check out the Well Planned Day Planners!

Disclosure:  I received a High School 4 Year Plan free of charge for the purpose of this review.  I received no other compensation, nor was I required to give a positive review.  All opinions are mine.
