Decorate Your Electronics with DecalGirl

I received the following products free of charge in order to write the following review.

Decal Girl MacBook Pro Skin on Top

It is no secret that I LOVE Disney, and I have Disney on a lot of what I own.  However, I didn’t have anything on my computer.  When I learned about all the different Disney options that DecalGirl has, I knew I would have a hard time deciding what character I would want.  As you can see on the Disney portion of DecalGirl’s site, there are a lot of different Disney artwork choices!  it didn’t take me long to narrow my choices down to the classic characters, and I ended up choosing the pattern above (No Finer Friend).

DecalGirl supports many different electronics from laptops to phones to tablets.  But there are a few choices that I wouldn’t have thought about.  You can choose between high gloss and matte.  Mine is the matte finish, and I like that it doesn’t shine or show fingerprints.  The other choice I had was to have the logo cut out or not.  We all know that many Apple fans LOVE to show off that glowing apple on the computer.  Me?  I didn’t like the look of it cut out and chose to have the skin as one solid piece.  How did I know?  The DecalGirl website gives you the option to see how it would look with the logo cut out.  Isn’t that cool?

Decal Girl

I received a Skin Kit for my MacBook Pro 13 inch ($19.99) and a Bumper Case for my iPhone 5 ($39.99).  They were packaged very securely, so there was no concern of the skin getting creased or the case getting broken.

Decal Girl Bumper Case

The first one I opened was the iPhone case.  It came in two pieces:  a black rubber piece that goes directly over the phone and the colored plastic part that goes over the black rubber piece.

The phone case went on very easily.  The only issue I run into is that the plastic part doesn’t always stay in the grooves on the black rubber part where it is supposed to.  It is easy to slide back into place, though, and it looks great on my phone!

Then, it was time to tackle the skin on the computer.  The solid piece that went on the top of the computer (as in the top picture of this post) was extremely easy to put on.  Of course, I checked out the installation tips on the DecalGirl website first. As I said, the solid piece was easy.  The piece for the keyboard took a little more concentration.

The biggest problem that I had installing this last piece was the really skinny part that goes behind the keyboard and in front of the hinge.  It just took a little more effort to line it up without stretching it out.  I did get it on, and I think it looks great!  DecalGirl takes this one step further by offering a code for a matching wallpaper for the computer screen.  I have mine downloaded and like the way it looks!

If you are looking for a way to show your personality through your electronics, make sure to check out DecalGirl!

Disclosure:  I received the above products free of charge for the purpose of this review.  I received no other compensation, nor was I required to give a positive review.  All opinions are mine.

I love that, I think I would pick Van Gogh’s Blossoming Almond tree or the Beside still waters skin. I am really pleased to see that my laptop is supported.

I like decals for electronics because it helps keep stuff with the right person. My sister and I both had the same camera but after I got her a rose pattern decal and I got a Mickey decal, it was easy to tell them apart.
