Ozeri sent me the item below in hopes that I would share my opinions with you.

Ozeri Digital Blood Pressure Monitor

When I first got my Ozeri Digital Blood Pressure Monitor, I took it out of the box to try it out.  See, I wanted to try it without reading the directions to see how easy it was to use.  I wouldn’t recommend this as it is always better to read the directions; however, I know that many people probably do try it without directions.  So, the long and short of it is that this is really simple to use, and directly out of the box, this monitor has a voice that gives enough directions to take the blood pressure fairly easily.

Before I go on with the specifics, I want to give a disclaimer.  Please consult with your medical professional about the use of a monitor like this.  I know my doctor’s office encourages bringing in a monitor for them to verify before relying on it for information.

It is very easy to put on, but I will say that I found the voice to be rather annoying.  After I had it on my wrist and turned the unit on, the voice kept telling me that I needed to adjust my arm in relationship to my heart.  How it knew my arm was too high or too low, I’m not sure.

So, after I tried it out sans instructions, I did go back and follow the directions to set it up properly.  At this point, I changed the voice to quiet setting.  It still lets me know if my arm isn’t positioned properly, but it is a series of beeps rather than the voice.

I did not get the chance to take this in with me to a doctor’s appointment to compare its readings with a manual blood pressure; however, I did find that my readings were close to what I normally run.  If you are looking for a blood pressure monitor for the purpose of monitoring your blood pressure for medical reasons, I would definitely recommend taking it to your doctor’s office with you to verify that it is working accurately.

I like the simplicity of this monitor, and it is almost full-proof.  Of course, the directions do need to be followed, but they are very clear and easy to follow by reading the book that comes with the monitor.

Disclosure:  I received the above item free of charge for the purpose of this review.  I received no other compensation, nor was I required to give a positive review.
