Great Giveaways

Halloween is over, and we are heading into the Thanksgiving/Christmas time of year.  This is my FAVORITE time of year!  However, I know that the economy is still not doing so hot and many may be wondering what to give friends or loved ones for Christmas.  Because of this, I wanted to join in this great gifts giveaway.  Each blogger in the list below is giving away something that is at least $25 in value that would make a great gift for someone.  This blog hop is hosted by http://www.weidknecht.com/ and http://leahsaysviews.com/.

Bath and Body Works Gift Card

I had a hard time deciding what to give away.  After much back-and-forth, I decided to go with a $25 Bath & Body Works gift card.  My thoughts were that it would either make a great gift or allow someone to buy a gift for another person.  I hope that it will help out someone for Christmas shopping!

So, if you are interested in entering, read the rules below and enter on the Rafflecopter.  Below the Rafflecopter is a list of all the other bloggers who are participating.  I encourage you to hop around and find some other great giveaways!

Rules: Giveaway starts at 12:00 am EDT on November 7, 2013 and ends at 11:59 pm EDT on November 17, 2013. Open to U.S. residents 18 years old and older.  Shipping to U.S. only.  No purchase is necessary to win. Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries collected. The winner will be chosen by Random.org via Rafflecopter and will have 48 hours to respond after being contacted by email.  Please make sure to use a valid email address. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+ do not endorse this, nor sponsor this giveaway. Nor are Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Google+ affiliated with this giveaway in any way.  Additional rules here.

My favorite Christmas memories are probably Christmas Eve Day. That is when my cousin had his birthday, and every year we would go to Chuck E Cheese. After we would get home, I would usually get to open my Christmas pj’s, and then we would go look at Christmas lights. It is one of the fondest Christmas traditions I have and I am seriously debating on taking my daughter there to play this year on Christmas Eve!

Years ago before I was married my family had a hard Christmas it seemed like we were going to lose it all. Needless to say that we did not have money to give each other presents. However, my brother applied for a credit card at the job he worked at and with it and bought gifts for each one of us so that we all had a little something to open. We were surprised and shocked at what he did and oh so grateful. But not for what was under the tree but for having such a great brother and family that pulled together when things were tough.

My favorite memory was of Thanksgiving 2010. My family had gone to the Nickelodeon Resort in Orlando. We enjoyed the delicious Thanksgiving buffet meal at the hotel. The only downside was that hubby had to work and couldn’t join us.

    Thanks 🙂

My best Christmas memories are those from when I was a kid. My brother and I would get up around 4am and sneak downstairs to check out what we got (some of our presents were unwrapped). Then we’d go back to sleep (yeah, right) until our parents woke up. Then go down and open presents. I just remember the excitement of that. I don’t think I’ve felt that sort of excitement again.

I have MANY wonderful Christmas memories! One that comes to mind is the year my middle daughter received the American Girl doll Kirsten from Santa. She had wanted it SO BADLY for a while and I kept telling her it was too expensive. The pure JOY it brought her was so overwhelming that her older and younger sister cried too! It was VERY sweet!

My best Christmas was when I was 7 years old. I got a walking doll. I loved it. I still have it and I cherish her. My Mom tricked me stating she was wrapping a gift for my dad, and she couldn’t trust me not to tell him. That
is why she wouldn’t let me in the locked bedroom. Then, Christmas came and there was this big box. I picked it up and started carrying it to my dad. But, they said to look at the label. Here it was for me. What a wonderful surprise! I played with her, walked her, changed her clothes, and combed her hair.
