I received products from Math Mammoth for the purpose of this review.

Math Mammoth

Math…  Math is a love/hate relationship in many families whether they homeschool or not.  Whether an entire math curriculum or just a few topical booklets, it can sometimes be difficult to find the right product that will help.  Personally, we tried a few different types of math programs before finding a good fit for our children.  However, we have found that there are a few holes in that program that need to be filled with extra material.  That is where Math Mammoth shines!

Math Mammoth provides full curricula for grades 1-12, and they also provide topical ebooks that help fill the void in some other programs.  We were given the following ebooks to review:  Money, Metric Measuring, Statistics & Probability, and Percent.  These are areas that my kids could use more help with.

Money

This is a page from the Money ebook.  I wanted to share this with you because I wanted to show you how realistic the money looks. I don’t know about you, but a lot of the fake money that is used for teaching counting looks nothing like the coins they represent.  It was confusing my son so much that I now use a dish full of real change to teach counting money.  These worksheets are huge on my list just for the realistic appearance!

Math Mammoth Money editable

Another great thing about Math Mammoth’s ebooks is that they are editable in Adobe Reader.  See the line at the end of the red arrow above?  The answer can be typed right into the page, so it can be saved on the computer.  Isn’t that great?!  Plus Math Mammoth offers free assessments and free samples.

I think Math Mammoth’s prices are reasonable.  Many of their topical ebooks are between $2 and $7 dollars.  Because there are so many prices, it would probably be best if you looked at the prices yourself rather than my posting them here.  Also, many of their products are available in ebook form and printed form.  There really are a lot of choices and price points.

Math Mammoth helps us fill in the gaps.  It also provides a complete curriculum for others.  Don’t forget to check out Math Mammoth for yourself!

Disclosure:  I received 4 Math Mammoth ebooks for the purpose of the above review as a part of Mosaic Reviews.  I was not required to post a positive review, nor was I compensated for this post.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Looks like a neat program. I will have to take a closer look for my kids!
