When I look back at this quote by Walt Disney, I wonder if he truly knew how long the Disney name and products would be so popular. What would he think about a Disneyland in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Paris? Disney Cruise Lines? Adventures by Disney? Did he know that every year, many people would make their summer pilgrimage to Walt Disney World? I’m glad that he reminded us that this franchise filled with princesses and pirates was really started by a mouse. But what’s more important is that he knew and embraced the humble beginnings that started it all.
