Free Country Coats

I want to thank Free Country for sending me one of their winter coats for the purpose of this review.
Free Country Guide 3-in-1 SystemBoth of my kids are really hard to fit with coats!  In the past, we have purchased kids’ size 3-in-1 system coats from a local discount retailer.  While they seemed to serve a purpose, they never really held up well.  When I was offered a review item from the Free Country website, I was hopeful that I could find something that would fit the kids.

I requested the Men’s Guide 3-in-1 Systems Jacket in a size large, intending that my son would be able to wear it for next winter.  My daughter is harder to fit, so I really didn’t consider getting the coat for her.  What we found when it arrived is that the coat is perfect for DD13.  This coat is a higher quality coat than most that we have seen.  It is definitely a warm coat and should keep even the most cold person warm.

Free Country LinerThis coat is actually two layers of coats together, and each layer can be worn separately, as well.  This layer is a great option for a light-weight jacket that is just a little heavier than a windbreaker but still has the wind resistant properties.

Free Country ZipperThe outer layer can be worn as a coat as itself, and with the fleece lining, it provides a lot of warmth.  When the two layers are zipped together, it mounts a stout defense against the cold.  The two layers are zipped together with this strong zipper, and when it is zipped together, it acts as one coat.

Free Country Neck ZipperIn my opinion, the detail in this coat is superior to most that I have purchased.  Do you remember pinching your chin in the zipper of your coat when you were a kid or the zipper rubbing your chin as you played?  I do.  But this coat includes a soft piece of fabric to separate your chin from the zipper.

Oh, did I mention that the coat is water resistant, too?  I am really impressed with this coat, and I’m sure that whichever of my children wears this coat next winter will stay nice and toasty warm.  Actually, not all of it will stay in the closet until next winter.  That nice inner layer will be used during the rest of the Spring when it is cool, and we are still having some cool weather.

If you like a great coat and like to stock up when sales are available, make sure to check out the sale at Free Country!  The coat that I reviewed is normally $200, but it is on sale right now for $80.  That is quite a savings!

Disclosure:  I received the above product free of charge for the purpose of this review.  I received no other compensation, nor was I required to give a positive review.  All opinions are 100% mine.
