I answered a post on Facebook asking for bloggers to review Devo Olive Oil. I do like to cook, so I thought this would be a good idea. I received an email asking me to make an original recipe with the olive oil that I wanted to try. I chose the Tuscan Herb Olive Oil.
Now, here is where it gets a little strange, and I’m sure many of you who cook will know that making an original recipe is usually trial and error. Well… I received a sample-sized bottle. Just a hair over 1/4 cup of olive oil to make an original recipe. As I said, I like to cook, but coming up with an unique recipe with NO ability for trial-and-error just was not going to happen with the amount given. Therefore, I used the olive oil in my favorite bread recipe.

What I changed in my bread recipe was to replace my 1/4 c. regular olive oil with 1/4 c. Tuscan Herb Olive Oil.

I also added 1 T. of the Tuscan seasoning above. If I had had more, I would have put in 2 T.
I will say that I thought the olive oil was good in the bread, but I really like to try something more than once when giving my readers an opinion about a product I am trying. Unfortunately, that was not possible in this case. As you can see, Devo Olive Oil is fairly expensive, and I just can’t give a truly positive opinion due to not being able to truly try this product.
Disclaimer: I received an extremely small sample-sized bottle (just over 1/4 c.) with the assignment of coming up with an original recipe. I did not receive enough sample to do so, nor was I compensated in any other way. I cannot give this product a fully positive review, nor should I be expected to.
