Aunt Mae’s Handmade Soap and Lotion Bar

I have a huge confession!  I have skin allergies.  There have been times that I have used a soap that had an irritant in it that made my hands bright red, puffy, cracked, and bleeding.  For years, I have ordered expensive soap, the only kind that didn’t break me out.  Until now…

When Aunt Mae approached me to try her soaps, I told her of my allergies and said that my daughter would be happy to try them out for me.  She assured me by telling me that her husband had sensitive skin, and she had formulated her soaps for him.  In the back of my mind, I still had that nagging feeling, but I picked out two of the more natural sounding scents and let her know which ones I wanted.

Keeping in mind that I have at times had to take oral steroids to clear up my allergies, I tried the Pineapple Cilantro soap.  You know what?  I didn’t sting like I do when I try a soap I’m allergic to.  So, I tried it a few days later.  Same thing… No stinging.  A third time, I tried this soap and no stinging!

I told Aunt Mae that if I didn’t break out with her soap, I would be singing her praises!  So, here I am singing about how excited I am to have found a soap that doesn’t hurt me to use it!

Not only that, but I haven’t been able to use lotion in years either.  But see that picture up above?  That is lotion I can use!

She also sent some of this Green Herb Salve.  Believe it or not, no one had a boo boo that I could test this out on, but I did try it on my skin, and it felt nice.  I’m thinking that between the lotion bar and the salve, I might not have chapped hands this winter!

Aunt Mae makes her soaps with high quality natural ingredients, and I can honestly say that I am living proof of how wonderful her soaps are!

How would you like to win some soap from Aunt Mae?  She has offered the following to ONE winner:  (2) – 4oz bars of handmade soap (value – $10) of their choice (from current stock on hand), (1) – 2oz lotion bar (value – $10), and (1) – 2oz of Green Herb Salve (value – $10).
