mod. Camera Strap Review

As I’ve shared in previous posts, I bought a new Canon DSLR camera in the last couple of months.  I have been having so much fun with it, BUT I can’t stand the strap that came with it.  It is hard and cuts into my neck, so I have been scouring the internet looking for just the right strap that will work for me…

Enter mod.!  mod. was created by a mother and daughter team when Amber (the daughter and photographer) searched for a new camera strap.  All she found were low quality straps with limited variety.  She set out to create her own strap, with her mother’s help, and mod. was born.

As you can see, mod. camera straps come in a wide variety of designs!  It is not just the variety that made me want to try out this camera strap, it was the quality that goes into each strap.  Their Classic Camera Straps are tested to withstand a pull down weight of up to 90 lbs.  That’s likely more than my neck could withstand!  With this stringent testing, I can carry my camera on this strap and have no worries about the strap breaking.

This is a picture of the Brown and Teal Circle Classic Camera Strap, which is the pattern that I chose for review.  I am impressed with the construction of this strap!  Another thing to note is that the side of the strap that sits on my neck is a really soft “minky”-type fabric that makes carrying my camera a pleasant experience.  Also, the strap is long enough that I can wear my camera cross-body.  This takes even more stress off my neck!

mod. has MUCH more than just camera straps!  I plan on buying one of their Drop-In Pouches for me and one for my daughter to protect our cameras during our trip to Walt Disney World this Fall.  I hope you will take time to look around the mod. website!

mod. has offered a special promotion code for my readers! – 1FREECS – Buy 1 Premium strap, get 1 cap saver for free (expires June 30, 2012).  Don’t forget to use this code when you place your order.

I’m so happy that mod. has offered a giveaway for my readers!  The prize is a $30 gift certificate to the mod. website!  AND I’m so excited to be able to open this giveaway to my Canadian readers!  It is open to US and Canada.

Please make sure to read the Terms & Conditions in the Rafflecopter widget.  Disclaimer:  I received a free Classic Camera Strap for the purpose of posting this review.  The opinions stated above are totally mine, and I can’t wait to take my camera on the road with my new and AWESOME camera strap!
