“G” and “H” are for Grateful, Gravity, and Hurried Housework

So, I was negligent in my blogging last week.  Yes, I know that I could use the Thanksgiving holiday as an excuse, but I can’t really.  I had been feeling a little run down for a few day, and then, it hit me early last week.  I was tired and had a sore throat, and I really couldn’t find the words to type.  My head was fogged, and I just relaxed and was grateful that I could take the time off from school work because it was a holiday.

You may be wondering where the gravity comes in?  Well, it was gravity that kept me comfortably on the couch.  Of course, I would rather have felt that gravity on a roller coaster like I had originally planned for my “G” post last week, but still gravity was much appreciated last week as I lay on the couch.

This week is “H”, and I have chosen hurried housework.  With appointments here and there, I have tried to make the school work the priority for the kids, so I usually hurry through the housework as they are doing school assignments.  Now that appointments are starting to wind down, I am trying to integrate more housework into the kids’ day.  However, it has been difficult.  We’ve tackled the room cleaning and laundry, but the dishes seem to be stuck in my corner.  So my question is how do you integrate some of your housework into your kids’ day?  Do you and your kids tackle it together in the morning before school, or do you do school first?

I do housework after schooling the kids. (Sometimes I might sneak a load of clothes in while they do something they can do without too much help.) I almost used “harried” and “housework” for my post this week. 🙂

I’ll do housework in the morning or evening. Rarely will I do any housework while they are homeschooling. The exception would be if both the girls are working on something that doesn’t require my assistance. Then, I’ll do something where I am close by (e.g., folding and putting away laundry).

Hurried? Oh I wish! These days I’m extra SLOW and can’t seem to get anything FINISHED. Maybe I should set myself a timer. lol
