Will we make it through the week?

The above picture is representative of the mood in our house!  The kids and I leave in just over a week, and the kids are bouncy.  They can’t stand the excitement!  This is a birthday trip for DS7, and he will not let us forget it.

Because of the excitement, it is even harder to get the school work done.  Both kids have appointments tomorrow, if we can get out to the main street.  Appointment days are always hard days to push school work.  With the excitement of the impending trip and therapy appointments, I have thrown out the books and brought in the Disney planning to create work that will hopefully prove exciting and learning at the same time.

On the agenda for DD11’s math Monday, I have merged meal planning and financial planning into one 5-problem worksheet.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    1. We are planning on eating at two character meals.  How much these two meals cost            based on the following facts:                                                                                                                      2 adults and 1 child,                                                                                                                            Goofy’s Kitchen:  A = $35.99, C = $15.99,                                                                                        Storytellers Cafe:  A = $24.99, C = $12.99

2. We are going to eat at Cafe Orleans.  What will we have to pay for lunch if we order             the following items?

  1. Pommes Frites – $5.49
  2. Creole Ratatouille – $14.99
  3. Mickey shaped Beignets – $7.99
  4. Caffe Mocha – $4.29
  5. 2 Mickey’s Cheesy Macaroni – $6.99

3. You have $20 to buy you and your brother a snack at the Blue Ribbon Bakery.  You              want a chocolate croissant $2.99 and an apple juice $2.29.  Your brother wants a                chocolate chip cookie $2.79 and a lemonade $2.79.  Do you have enough money?

4. We want to buy some snacks from vending carts.  We all want churros $3.55.  Mom            wants a dole whip float $4.69, and your brother wants a dole whip $2.79.  You want a        plain bottle of water $3.00.  How much will this cost?  You have $9.99.  How much            more money will you need?

5. We’ve been eating a lot of junk food and need to visit the Toon up Treats for some             fruit.  Both you and your brother are going to get apple slices $3.69.  Your brother also     wants some grapes $2.79.  Mom wants mango slices $3.49.  We all need a small bottle       of water $1.79.  How much will this cost in all?

*All prices (except churro) were taken from the AllEars website.
