Hershey Water Works at Hershey Lodge

New Water Play Area Opening at Hershey Lodge

Last week, my family and I attended a preview of Hershey’s Water Works at the Hershey Lodge!  This new water area opened officially this holiday weekend.  It is such a fun addition to my favorite place to stay in Hershey, and I can’t wait to go back and play some more!

Ribbon Cutting at Hershey's Water Works

Hershey’s Water Works was officially opened with a ribbon cutting event with Twizzler and Reese’s holding the “ribbon”.  The ribbon was cut by Frank Gilbert and Jason Heath.  Jason Heath will become the general manager of Hershey Lodge effective this July 1, 2016 as Frank Gilbert (current general manager) is retiring June 30 after 41 years with the Hershey company.

Hershey’s Water Works has a lot to offer for a variety of ages!  Doesn’t this area look like loads of fun for the much younger set?  What a great place to bring the younger kids during the hot summer days!

There is a good mix of water fun for a variety of ages at Hershey’s Water Works.  A couple of the small pools/water play areas seem like a great place for the toddlers to play with parents while the older kids hit the larger pool and water slides.

Twizzlers twists

Speaking of water slides…  Twizzlers twists start inside, but the entire water slide is outside the building, as you can see in the left picture.  Then, the water slides end back indoors.  Such a neat idea and use of space!

Playing Basketball

One of the kids’ favorite areas was the water basketball.  I bet this will be a popular place to be this summer!

Reeses Water Walk

You may have seen floating “icebergs” at other water parks, but at Hershey’s Water Works, we walk on Reese’s peanut butter cups.  Both kids tried Reese’s Water Walk, and even Don joined in the fun.

Hershey's Water Works at Hershey Lodge Activities

There is more than water sports happening at Hershey’s Water Works…  If you want to keep in shape despite all the chocolate you may be eating in Hershey, there is a fitness room available.  There is also a game room to keep the kids occupied.  My daughter and I had a blast playing on the air hockey table that looked like ice at the rink.  Thanks for letting me win, Songbird!

The picture on the left shows the activity room.  Marvel Boy could seriously spend his whole time in this room!  Do you see the table the arrow is pointing to?  That is a table with a drawer that contains Legos.  Hershey’s Water Works has a lot to offer for those staying at Hershey Lodge!

If you are traveling to Hershey, PA this summer and staying at Hershey Lodge, make sure to check out Hershey’s Water Works!

Disclosure:  I am part of Hershey’s Sweetest Moms.  My family and I were invited to a preview of Hershey’s Water Works for free.  All opinions are mine.

Wow, that looks like so much fun! That’s neat to see all the little nice touches, like the peanut butter cups. I like places that appeal to all age groups. Thanks for sharing.
