Disneyland at Christmastime

Disneyland at Christmastime

Christmas is a special time of the year when most theme parks are decorated for the holidays with lights, shows, and special characters.  It’s fun to see the parks in a new light, so to say, with the bright lights highlighting the parks’ iconic structures.

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Christmas

We lived in Flagstaff, AZ several years ago and were able to drive out to Disneyland in about 8 hours.  We were able to go to Disneyland 2-3 times per year.  The last time we were at Disneyland for Christmastime was in 2010.  The icicles were on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle…

Its a Small World

and It’s a Small World was all aglow with lights.  The whole park was decorated with lights, trees, and wreaths.

Eeyore with a Santa Hat

The characters were ready for the holidays.  Even Eeyore looks a tad happier with his Santa hat on, doesn’t he?

Walt Apartment Window

But when someone asks me if it is better to visit Walt Disney World or Disneyland during the holidays, my answer will always be Disneyland.  There is something special about being in Walt’s park.  With the light (or at Christmastime, the tree) glowing from the window of Walt’s apartment over the firehouse.

Do you live close enough to get to Disneyland easily?  I am excited to announce that our friends over at Get Away Today are giving one of you a chance to win a 2 night hotel stay and 2 adult Disneyland 1 Day/1 Park tickets, so you can enjoy Disneyland and make some magical memories of your own.
