Urine leakage. This has always been a taboo subject. A subject that that no one seems to want to talk about. Not long before my father passed away, I would have to buy his Depend underwear at the store. When I went up to check out, I would look around before putting the packages on the conveyor belt. I was embarrassed to think that someone I knew might see me buying these. Isn’t that crazy? They weren’t even for me, but I was still concerned. Fast forward a few years, and I wonder why I would even have thought about it that way. See, we all have health issues that have to be taken care of, and a leaking bladder is nothing different. We just don’t want to talk about it.
But, we do need to talk about it! Have you seen the stats? Over 65 million Americans experience bladder leakage. Nearly half of the 65 million people are less than 50 years old! But yet, we don’t want to talk about it. Look at those numbers! I don’t think we have a choice. We need to talk about it because there are a lot of people who experience bladder leakage, and a lot of them are a lot younger than I would think.
This is why Depend is trying to get the subject out in the open, so to say. And to help get this out in the open, Depend has pledged to donate up to $3 million over the next three years to charity. For each photos or video shared and every tweet or Instagram post tagged #Underwareness or #DropYourPants, Depend will donate $1 to charity up to $3 million. Isn’t that a great way to start the conversation?
If you would like to get a sample of Depend, you can request one on the Underwareness website. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page for the link! Please help start the conversation and raise money for charity at the same time!
