The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2014
I truly am a collector of Walt Disney World planning books! Each one has a unique perspective, so I learn something different from each one. The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2014 is a book PACKED with information! This is not a book with a lot of pictures. This is not a planner in the sense of having pages to document your trip plans. This is a 434-page book of straight information! Everything from when to go, where to stay, where to eat, and what to ride. These tips are geared toward parents with kids, and the tips are not just from the authors of the book. There are also tips from readers.
I love the varied opinions offered by the reader tips. There are even a few that agree with me about the Dining Plan. I’m not a fan of the Dining Plan because it doesn’t make financial sense for our family. We break even at best with the Dining Plan, but we’re locked into the restrictions of no appetizers. There are some places where I would rather have an appetizer for my meal instead of the meal choices. There… I admitted publicly to not being a fan of the Dining Plan.
Yes, we are talking about The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2014, and I haven’t even talked about some of the other things packed in this book. There are some families who go to Walt Disney World, and that is the only place they go. I’ve done that. But there are families who want to take advantage of other attractions in the Orlando area. There are almost 75 pages devoted to Universal Orlando and SeaWorld packed into the back of this book. Also, don’t stop at the index… Keep flipping through as there are several suggested touring plans to see the most you can in each park. Just keep in mind when you read these that the FastPass situation has changed, but I’m sure this will be updated in the next edition.
