Chico Bag Travel Pack

With our vacation looming, I am always on the look out for what will work best for each person carrying things in Walt Disney World.  Recently, I had the opportunity to try out one of Chico Bag’s newest reusable bag, the Travel Pack.

Here is the Travel Pack folded up in its self-contained pouch.  See that carbiner clip?  That sure is a handy way to carry it until it is needed!  When I first saw this, I thought it was a little larger than it really is.  When Don tried it on, we realized it might be a little too small for him to wear comfortably.  While I was a little disappointed that he couldn’t use it, DS9 wasn’t.  He realized quickly that it was now his!

DS9 is close to 5’4″, just to give you an idea of his size versus the Travel Pack.  This reallly fits him well, and it has a sternum strap to help hold the straps in place, so they don’t irritate his shoulders.  Now, what will he carry in it at Walt Disney World?

He will be carrying his and his sister’s autograph books, water, and Mickey.  The Travel Pack has a side pocket on either side that works well for carrying a couple of water bottles.  It also has a pocket to use to carry a hydration reservoir in.  That is where Mickey is sitting above.  While DS9 doesn’t have to carry a lot into the parks, this bag will hold quite a bit of stuff.  “How much?” you might ask?  Well, let’s see…

That Travel Pack above looks as if it is packed pretty tight.  It is.  A backpack style bag is perfect to take on a hike, so I thought I would see how much of some hiking type stuff I could pack in.  I was able to fit the giant-sized box of cereal, a jar of peanut butter, a box of dried fruit leather, and a large thick sweatshirt.  I know it is probably not exactly the type of food you would take on a hike, but it does represent the amount that you can fit in this bag.

I LOVE this bag, and my son does, too.  It sells for $29.99, and it seems like a bag that will last for years to come.  I really appreciate Chico Bag for making quality reusable bags that are convenient to use and handy to take along.
