Early on Sunday morning, “Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. And they said among themselves, ‘Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?’ But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away – for it was very large.” (Mark 16:1, 3-4 NKJV).

Can you imagine the women looking around for the people who had rolled the big stone away? I’m not sure how accurate the scale of the replicas at Groom Texas is, but that stone was huge. If the actual stone had been that big, I think it would have taken several people to move it.
Then, the women move into the tomb, but…

Jesus is not there. These women were here to lovingly prepare Christ’s body for a proper burial, but there is no body. Did someone move Him?
“…they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, ‘Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.'” (Mark 16:5-6 NKJV).
He is risen! What wonderful words! Now, He is working on what He mentioned in my favorite passage of the Bible. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3 NKJV).
Because God gave His only Son to die such an awful death to cover our sins with His blood, we will be able to be in Heaven with Him when He returns to take us home. I am so looking forward to this day! What about you?
