Welcome back to the Thursday Disney Blog Hop!  I am honored to be co-hosting with Lisa over at Babes in Disneyland today while she is winging her way down to Walt Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms Conference.  If you are new to the Disney Blog Hop, here are the “rules”:

1)  This blog hop is for Disney-related blogs, whether you blog about the parks, animation, a specific character, Disney corporate, etc.  However, if you are attending the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, be sure to sign up, too, so that Disney fans can read your coverage of the conference and Walt Disney World.

2)  Enter your blog below.

3)  Check out the other blogs and follow them through Google Friend Connect, Facebook, Twitter, Networked Blogs, etc.  Just let them know that you checked them out and like what they are doing.  We all like to know that we have new readers.

4)  ****Optional****  Welcome new readers to your blog!  Each week we do something a little bit different.  This week is easy.  Just publish photo of a favorite Disney memory or write about your favorite Disney memory.  You don’t have to do this part to participate, but it is nice to be able to see what stands out in everyone’s experience with Disney.

5)  Also optional, please consider posting the Disney Blog Hop button on your blog or website so that we can spread the word.  It would also be great if you wouldn’t mind tweeting about the blog hop so that more Disney blogs will participate.

6)  Have fun!

My Favorite Disney Memory

I think that the assignment of my favorite Disney memory is actually harder than last week’s assignment of a photo showing myself doing something Disney.  We have had such wonderful trips to Disneyland and Walt Disney World that it would be impossible to pick just one!

When I asked DD11 what her favorite memory was, she said that it was both times that I surprised her with a trip to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  When I asked DS8, he said that his favorite memory was of his recent birthday trip.  Of course, he couldn’t come up with something specific.  He just liked the whole trip.

I think that my (and probably Charlie’s) favorite memory/memories is of our kids seeing all the different characters.  They get so worked up.  DD11 clasped her hands together and twisted her arms when she saw Peter Pan a couple of years ago.  On this last trip, DS8 had to take his Vinylmation to the characters and explain how it was the shape of Mickey Mouse.  On our Disneyland trip last year, DS8 had to tell Mickey Mouse that it (Disney) all started with him.

DD11 getting her Rapunzel makeover last year.
DS8 showing Minnie his Vinylmation with DD11 watching.

I guess that I can sum it up by saying that my best Disney memories are my memories of my kids having a great time at any Disney park!

Now, it’s your turn to “link up” your blog and participate in the Disney Blog Hop!  My blog is a WordPress.com blog, so my Linky Tools look a little different.  Please click on the “Click here” link below, and you will be taken to a page that contains the “link up” location, as well as, the list of Disney Blog Hop participants who have already “linked up”.  Please “link”, hop to, and comment on our wonderful Disney Blog Hop participants!

Hi there! I am a new follower of your blog and I found it through the blog hop.

I love your memory! We took our first family trip to Disney World last year for my son’s second birthday and I loved watching him experience everything. We are actually leaving tonight to celebrate his third birthday there!

I love the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique picture. My daughter, 8, thinks she is too grown up for princesses any more, but after seeing this picture said she wants to do it. Yay! I’m going to hurry and make a reservation for our upcoming trip before she changes her mind! 🙂

Get her there in a hurry! It is amazing how DD11’s attitude changed from last November to this February, so alas, our princess has now “grown” out of that stage. I’m glad that the picture helped your princess decide to give it a try. Have a great time and take lots of pictures!

The characters are a big part of the memories, aren’t they! I especially love the character meals. 🙂 Nothing beats seeing those beaming smiles on the kiddos!!!

Those smiles are definitely precious!!! We love character meals, too; although, they seem to be “growing out” of them. They seem to prefer meeting the characters in the park more at this time.

Such great memories, but I wish I could see your daughters makeover from the front haha. So so cool!

I know, I really love watching my son get excited over the characters. I’m making a photo book for him with all the character pictures he has taken. I have something like 120 right now! LOL Overboard? 😉

Actually, I used that picture because she loves the wig. After we got home, the wig lay out on her dresser for 2 month, so she could look at it.

No, you are not going overboard! He will enjoy that book for decades to come! Keep taking the pictures!
