Now, if I said the name “Plumb,” I can bet that your first reaction might be “Huh?” I would have given the same reaction a few months ago. However, I have fallen in love with Plumb’s music in that space of time after getting her latest album, Exhale, for review.
About the album:
EXHALE, the seventh studio album from acclaimed multi-genre singer, songwriter, and author PLUMB, expresses a new focus and vision. After the runaway success of NEED YOU NOW (the album, title track, and book), which coincided with her own moving story of brokenness and ultimately healing, Exhale brims with worshipful songs of gratitude and hope.
Plumb’s name is actualy Tiffany Arbuckle Lee. I was surprised to find out that she has done background singing for Bill Gaither and Amy Grant in the past. I bet you’ve heard of those names before, at least on this blog. If you don’t recognize the name Plumb from the Christian music circuit, you might have heard her music in one of your favorite movies or TV shows. She also does alternative rock and electronic dance music. Anyway, back to Exhale. The official playlist is as follows:
- Exhale
- Lord I’m Ready Now
- Smoke
- Resurrection
- Great Is Our God
- My True Love
- Broken Places
- Faithful
- Champion
- Sleep Will Be Sweet
- When You Walk Into the Room
- Restored
This album has risen to one of my favorite Sabbath albums and I will certainly be looking up more Plumb albums in the future. She reminds me of Selah, another one of my favorite Sabbath artists, but with only one voice. Her harmonies are fabulous, like nothing I’ve heard before. Her songs have good beats. My personal favorites are, well, pretty much the whole album! I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve got “Lord I’m Ready Now” stuck in my head.
And today is your lucky day! I’ve managed to track down Plumb’s Youtube channel! Here’s one of my favorites in lyric video format…
