Planning Your Christmas Shopping List
I don’t know about you, but I find that my Christmas shopping budget quickly spirals out of control as I see more and more sales on items that I would love to get my kids. Do you have the same problem? It seems like every year I justify spending more because it’s something I want to get them. It’s on sale. It might not be that cheap again. Sound familiar?
Well, this year, that is going to change. I’m instituting a Christmas shopping budget and a Christmas shopping list. One of the nice things this year is that it seems like the Black Friday sales ads have been leaked earlier, so I can plan a little better. Of course, I really don’t get into heading to the store for the wall-to-wall people who will push you over and stampede through the door to get what they want with little regard to what they do to others. Have you been in that position? One year, someone actually took something out of my cart because there weren’t any others left on the shelf. No, you won’t actually see me in the store, I’ll be shopping Black Friday and Cyber Monday sitting on my couch with computer on my lap. Coffee in hand (sponsored) thanks to Seattle’s Best Doorbusters (check out their doorbuster giveaways and coupon) while watching a Christmas movie. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
Well, back to the subject at hand. Keeping to a budget. I’m using a pretty Christmas shopping budget sheet this year to plan out my shopping and budget. I’m going to sit down with the “leaked” ads online and plan where I want to cybershop and what to buy for each one on my list.
