I wasn’t always a coffee drinker. Once I started, though, I found that I didn’t really care for the taste unless it had flavoring of some sort in it. It’s relaxing to have a cup of coffee with a favorite flavor in it while working on the computer or reading a book. It doesn’t always have to be fully caffeinated, either. I’ve found that Half Caff suites me just fine most days.
The other day, I posted a recipe for a Salted Caramel Mocha Copycat, and today, I’m going to talk about coffee creamer. Often, I go to the store and just gazed at all the different flavors of creamer, trying to decide which one I want to get. Of course, I have one or two “go-to” flavors that I prefer over the others. One is Peppermint Mocha, and the other is Cinnamon Bun.
Have you ever thought about making your own coffee creamer? I hadn’t until recently, but a homemade Cinnamon Bun Coffee Creamer was just calling my name! Some coffee creamers are overly sweet, but this one isn’t. It’s also very easy to make.
Cinnamon Bun Coffee Creamer
1 – 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated – they sit right next to each other on the shelf)
1 – 12-14 oz. can of cold milk, your choice (I like to use room temperature canned coconut milk)
1/2-1 tbs. ground cinnamon (start with ½ tbs. and go by taste)
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions –
Combine all the ingredients and mix well. I like to add mine to a mason jar and shake well for about 30 seconds and voila! Make sure to shake well before using.
