I recently received two bottles of V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers in the mail to try out. As you can see, I received the Tangerine Passionfruit and Cranberry Grape, but these drinks also come in Peach Strawberry and Black Cherry Berry.
One of the first things that I noticed is that there is 100% Vitamin C and No High Fructose Corn Syrup. I really liked the fact that there is no high fructose corn syrup as we really try to stay away from that. It is difficult to do, but there are more manufacturers realizing that moms want to cut the high fructose corn syrup from their kids diets.
What did we think about taste? Well, as I was trying a sip of the Cranberry Grape, my son came and grabbed the glass from my hand. He had already tried it and apparently likes the flavor. I did finally get to try some early in the morning when he was in bed. Yes, I had to sneak it. I liked the flavor ok, but it seemed to be almost like a punch or “cool aide” type flavor. I found it to be pretty sweet. I preferred the taste of the Tangerine Passionfruit as it tasted a little more like juice.
I think these juices are a good alternative to soda or other drink mixes, but it is good to note that there is only 20-25% juice in them. If you are trying to get your child his daily vitamin C, 100% of it is in a 8-ounce serving that contains 100 calories. The best part of the V8 V-Fusions Refreshers is that they are naturally sweetened (sugar) and contain no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The suggested retail price is $3.49 for a 46 ounce bottle.
Have you tried any of these drinks or are you looking forward to trying them?
Disclosure: I received the 2 bottles of drink free of charge. I was not required to post a positive review. All opinions are mine.
