I am so thankful for:
- A God who sent His Son to die for my sins.
- A husband who loves me and provides for our family’s needs. He loves playing with the kids and makes sure that he can go to out-of-town doctor appointments. He is supportive of our homeschooling and likes to be involved as much as possible. He helps with dishes and laundry when needed, too.
- Two children who love each other and who rarely fight. They are such a blessing!
- The freedom to homeschool our children. Homeschooling is such a joy for our family! We love that we can keep schooling consistent when we need to move or adjust homeschooling schedules when we need to travel to doctor appointments.
I hope you will join me next Friday for my next edition of 2011 Gratitude!

Better late than never. My teens love to pick at each other, so the kids not fighting one is a great big Thank You. 🙂
Naomi says
Well, we haven’t hit the teen years, yet, but so far so good. I’m hoping that they won’t start fighting then. 🙂

I’m proud of you for recognizing your limitations! Man, I think I bite off more than I can chew sometimes. I’m going this challenge, along with my daily countdown to Disney, and my regular blog post schedule. Things are getting kinda crazy over at Heidi’s Head. LOL
Great list of things to be thankful for!

I used to be the type of person who never said, “No.” However, over the last few years, I have learned that I sometimes need to use that word before I get overburdened. You are quite busy over on Heidi’s Head, but it will all end with a vacation to Walt Disney World. I’m sure you will really be ready for that when it comes!
Lori Boling says
Great post. I’ve already missed a day of the challenge but trying hard to keep up. I’m now following your blog! God Bless.
Naomi says
Thank you for the follow!

Wow, they never fight? That must be amazing! Thanks for the follow, I followed you back on Google Friend Connect! I love the gratitude challenge, it is so encouraging to read what others post.. If I ever have a single day when my kids do not fight, you can be sure I would post about that in the Gratitude challenge… Blessings,
Amy B

They really don’t fight. Since they have some physical challenges, they really support and help each other out. I, too, find it encouraging to read what others post. I went through each post that was linked up last night because I couldn’t stop!
Debbie says
You have some very wonderful blessings there to be thankful for. It is great that you know your limitations, and are still linking up and sharing with us once a week. I call that being totally honest with yourself, as well as your readers.
I am following you back.
Naomi says
Thank you for the follow! I really don’t like starting a meme and not keeping up with it, so I was hoping that this would be a reasonable compromise… 🙂
Michelle Smith says
Great things to be thankful for. I think you’ve mentioned all the important ones today. 🙂
Naomi says
Yes, I got the most important ones, but there is so much more. I plan on jotting one down every day to put into my post on Fridays.
Debbie says
Naomi,
Thanks for following my blog. I am now following yours too. I used to be a TOS Crew member, did you know that. It is great that you know your limitations and that you have found a way to participate also. Those are great things to be thankful for. My first three were God, Husband, then one of my children, I did my mom 4th, and I still want to do my other children. I am struggling with our homeschooling teens right now so I have not done thankful for homeschooling yet. I will though. I am thankful I am homeschooling, even with the struggles. God Bless you this coming week.
Naomi says
Thank you for the follow! No, I didn’t know that you were a TOS Crew member previously. We have not reached the teenage years yet, but DD turns 13 next year. I pray that God will help you with your teens. I can imagine homeschooling can be a challenge at that point… 🙂

Those are all great things to be thankful for. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am now following you too!
Naomi says
Thanks Rodna!

What a great list! Thanks for stopping by and following me! It is great when we know our limitations! I “cheated”! I wrote 5 posts at once and scheduled them to post each day…now the hard part is remembering to go link them up! LOL!
Naomi says
Writing 5 posts at once is not cheating! It is “knowing your limitations”! Too bad there is not a way to schedule blog posts to auto link… 😉
Cassandra says
I love that people are making all of November a month of Thanksgiving! I’m glad that’s not just a one day thing. I love your list so far! 🙂
Naomi says
I’m glad that it is more than just a day, too! However, I don’t think I could commit to posting everyday because I would feel bad if I missed or dropped out part way through.
Jennifer says
Great list! Kids rarely fighting is a huge blessing, as is the freedom to homeschool.
Naomi says
Thank you!
Wonder Mom says
WEEKLY gratitude updates- genius! (Though I bet if you had the time you would have a list like this one everyday on the blog- you seem to be a very blessed lady!) :0)
Naomi says
Honestly, if I could make the time, I would have a list every day! I certainly count myself as very blessed!
Julie says
Thanks for the comment on my post! Posting once a week is brilliant. Wish I had thought of that, LOL!
Naomi says
I would like to participate every day, but I just couldn’t commit to it right now. Hopefully, next year… 🙂
